Is this primer? Milk paint? You’re not painting Cherry are you?

It's primer. Yep it's cherry. I had made the legs out of some oak I had laying around but I had a brain fart and cut all four of them an Inch short. I didn't want to go someplace and buy wood so I used a chunk of cherry I had laying around. The rest came from the scrap pile.
