jeff...
Last year many of you helped me design a white oak desk with quatersawn sycamore drawers for my daughter. It turned out great and my daughter loves it. Thank you all very much :icon_thum
I'm going to build another one but out of QS Black Locust and I kinda like the style of the one you all helped design.
I actually drew up general measurements this time, instead of winging it like the last one. The reason I didn't draw up any detailed plans is I would like some input for improvement. Although I feel version 1 will outlive me and be passed on from my daughter to my grand children, I would like to improve version 2.
I was really inspired by visiting Don's rocker shop and it seems what I build has this boxy feel to it. Granted the desk style I'm going with is a box, but do you have any suggestions how to soften the boxy look up a bit?
Here's a few pics to jog your memory - please provide improvement input
Thanks
