those are good converters but know you will only get about 2/3 to 1/2 of the rated HP out of the motor on that.

As Phil indicated, that's a static converter - not the best choice unless you are not planning to put much load on the equipment. A rotary converter would be much better.

BTW thanks for posting this. as it turns out I may have an immediate home for this. I have a customer who has a stroke sander who'd never heard of 3 phase power until i spoke with him this morning.
