The annual picnic will be held on May 18 at Jordan Lake State Park
This is free to all members and their guests who RSVP.

RSVP is required so everyone can get stuffed with BBQ
Also you MUST RSVP to be eligible to win a door prize (please click on the quantity in your party below)
There will be a door charge if you are not on the RSVP attendee list.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS RSVP THREAD WILL CLOSE ON MAY 11TH! (Don't wait too long to RSVP)

NCWW will provide the main dishes - catered from Danny's
We ask members to bring a side dish or dessert (Please post that on this link: What are you bringing to the picnic?)

Plus we will hold the annual raffle drawing - tickets will be on sale at the picnic, bring cash.
Additionally we will present the 2024 Golden Mallet award.

We have requested a sunny 75 degree day - PERFECT day for a NCWW picnic at the lake!

Members usually start gathering between 10-11, work lunch served around noon. We have a short business meeting, followed by the raffle and then clean up. We're usually done around 3:00-3:30.

Sounds like a lot of fun, but a three-hour, one-way drive time makes a 4-5 hour picnic ..... I don't want to say pointless. I'd LOVE to meet some of the people on the board, but it's a long way to go. So, not this year. Maybe next year if it moves south.

@Chaz, maybe you can find someone local to your area to rideshare with. I know it can make for a long day, but I've never regretted spending time with like minded folks. It's almost a 2-hr one-way trip for me.

It's traditionally been held at Jordan Lake, I don't recall any discussions of it being held elsewhere.

OK!

Anyone Near Rock Hill, SC, going, interested in car-pooling? Me with a possible +1.

Not seeing any calendar conflicts, so figure me and my wife - I voted above.
We’re new to NC and in a new development so if I happen to run into anyone else new here that’s into woodworking, I’ll see if they might want to join us.

Looks like 64 so far. Everyone should buy 64 tickets to celebrate.
Now 78 (03/30/24). Time to buy tickets!

@Chaz 3 hours and 50 minutes up to 5 hours depending on traffic for me EACH way...
I go EVERY year I can, it is literally that much fun!
Seeing everyone is worth it... watching me nearly destroy a raffle prize? PRICELESS!
