1/3 HP 1075 RPM Motor for Spindle Sander?
What say you? I have a condenser fan motor and needed a spindle sander this weekend. Was thinking about a shop-made one. Looks like most of the ones on the market are powered by 1/4 1750 RPM or so motors. Would I miss the 700 RPMs if I made it a 1:1 gear ratio?- crokett

Delco 1/6 HP 1725 RPM motor... what to make?
I have a 1/6 hp 1725 rpm Delco motor that was given to me, it has a pulley on it and he gave me an attachment for like a grinding wheel or buffing station. So... what should i make? I have a grinder already, dont have a buffing station... but not sure i really need one right now... Any...- mbeach

Compressor motor rpm question
If the compressor pump is rated at say 850 rpm, what should the motor rpm be to achieve this??? I know the combination of pump wheel diameter and the motor pulley figure into this but not sure how this all calculates. This is info for a potential gloat (maybe) so need some fast feedback...- mshel
