    My first humble attempts at marquetry

    I picked up "Marquetry Course" with the intention of teaching myself the art of marquetry. This was my first project I completed other than a few practice shapes and stuff. I am generally pleased with the result. I kept it simple, just wanted to do my initials, found a font I liked, printed it...

    The tail inlay area is routed out with a 1/16" bit by hand. Bit depth is set to just under the material thickness.
