    Jointer Cutters Question

In looking for a jointer I would like to get one with a spiral cutter, but my budget tells me to get a conventional blade cutter. If I got the conventional blade model, is it possible to convert it to a spiral cutter down the road? I am definitely looking at a 8" Grizzly G0656.

    Stanley #46 Cutters

I picked up a few Stanley #46 skew dado planes five or six years ago, but had few blades. Thought it would be nice to make up a few. Well, it has been a multi-year quest. I have made blades and cutters for almost every handplane known to man. By the way, #46 cutters are the hardest to make...

    Log tenon cutters

In my quest to spend a gift certificate, I have come up with another possibility. Power tenon cutters to make rustic log/limb furniture. Anyone ever use these? What would be the best size to get to make small benches and little furniture pieces? And any recommendations on native hardwoods...
