The spiral inlet ramp has been added to the central air outlet tube. The ramp improves cyclone internal air flow, reduces turbulence, and improves separation. Note- the data provided on Bill Pentz site to build the helical ramp yields only a mathematical approximation. The ramp is cut from a flat sheet (a plane) so must be shaped and slightly warped to fit.
