Router-table used as planer for small pieces

As I as yet have neither hand planes nor a planer, I had to use my router table in an unorthodox planer setup to get the ladder blank flat and parallel on both sides. The blank was made from a scrap cutoff; one side was flat from a circular saw cut, with only minor blade marks to smooth off, the other side was a rough taper from when the scrap had been band-sawed in Mexico.
