First of all thanks to (??) for the initial post last year about HD's deal on the Worksharp 3000! I've used it well and love it!

Now, a tip for those who have not noticed yet. List price for Worksharp sandpaper packs is $19.99. Northern Tool sells them for $14.99! And if you are on their mailing list, they often send out coupons for $5 off a $15 purchase. So, if you are patient and wait for the coupons (I usually get 2 at a time), and are willing to buy something cheap like a $0.70 screw hook to bring the total up above $15.00 you can effectively get the sandpaper packs for $10 each - Score:icon_cheers:eusa_clap!

Now, Northern Tool in Cary does not stock the Worksharp tools or supplies but every time I'm in there to make a special order I ask them to start stocking them. If we all start asking, maybe they will listen.

Worksharp online sells the discs in individual amounts for all of their grits. Just search on Workshp 300 and clickon the materials button. I prefer this because the combo packs have limited selection.

I don't remember if I read this in a magazine, or on line, but Klingspor's disks adhere too well. This makes them a pita to get off. Author said he "waxed plate" and then applied disks.

You can also heat them a tad and they come right off. You may need a little turps to clean the glass.

Bill,

You have a good point but if you work out the price per disc, at the $10/pack I have paid at Northern Tool, the individual discs are $1.43 ea and if I just drop by when I am near the store anyway, I don't have to pay shipping... Either way, to each his own! I just wanted to share a cheaper method of getting the discs.
