At this time I have a list of 18 woodworking-galleries.org refugees:lol:

These are the people that I plan on copying their pictures from their to here. Please check this list. If you are not on and should be. please post in this thread. If you are on this list and are moving/moved your pictures yourself, also post on this thread.

Sometime after 6:00 am 3/7/2007. I will start the process. But please, don't expect to see immediate results. It could take up to a week, becuase it appears I will have to write some code.:BangHead: :eyeslam:

Did I miss something? I don't understand, what is taking place with the gallery pics?

Lorraine, this is merging (for lack of a more accurate term) the photo album from the other site (that closed) to the ones on this site. This involves the new members from out of state.

OK, woodworking-galleries.org was closed officially at about 6:00 today.

The first post in this thread has been updated with all the people from thee who have joined, I think:eusa_pray Please check and make sure your name is there.

Out of the 37 invitations to join that I sent, 16 have actually joined by the deadline. WELCOME We're glad that your here:eusa_danc :eusa_clap

While the main reason you joined is probably to have a home for your photos, we all hope that you will choose to participate and make use of all our services. The people here are friendly and you will find your ideas and questions will be readily accepted, without the frequent derision and hostility that sometimes happen on other sites.

No, I am NOT referring to WoodNet in general, but, rather, a general problem on the Internet that I believe is caused by the relative anonymity of Internet. People tend to say things to one another on the 'net that they would never say in person. With that in mind, we have tried to create an atmosphere of a club and friendship. In fact, you'll find many of us actually know each other and met frequently in person. It is difficult to be rude to a person you will have lunch with next week or who is coming to your shop to help you with a project.

Hi Steve,

I did not see my name on this list. Userid KC7CN. I added a couple of albums to this site, but most of my photo's are on the Woodworking Galleries site. Please merge them to this site.

Thank you

Thanks for the update Steve. Looking forward to seeing my albums here and also posting in a “kinder and gentler” place. The reason I participate in a forum is to learn from those who know, reciprocate with things I know, meet others with like interests, and most importantly have a good time in the fellowship of woodworkers.

Although I have found these things on other forums, the need for a thick skin really isn’t my idea of having fun. I’ve only been attacked once, for some innocuous offering that all but a few found value in. But it’s that few self-righteous “know it alls” that can knock the wind out of your sails and sour you in wanting to participate further. Glad to be here.
