Wood Turners Alert !!

Hi Gang,

I just made another donation of wood cut-offs to Woodcraft for the turners amongst us. Most of these cut-offs are QS red oak, but there's some spalted post oak pieces and other stuff in the box.

I used to do turning many moons ago and had a stash of small Pecan "logs"..maybe 4" diam.X8-10" long. They were all end sealed and had been sitting under the lathe for at least 12 years...they are VERY dry. In cleaning up the place for the Shop-Crawl...they had to go.

There will shortly be another donation of some really unusual QS Sycamore (courtesy of Jeff Mills)...it's heavily mineral streaked, some ambrosia and some excellent QS ray patterns. These are chunks from the current rocker project. ..and most will be 8/4 thick. I'll get that stuff over to the store later next week.

I'm getting some wood from Kyle in Iron Station (Huntersville area) but need to find a NCWW Pony Express to bring it to Raleigh.

Be glad to swap some QS Sycamore...or some other goodies for some hitch-hiking wood.

If you don't mind heading to Sanford, I should be heading that way within the next month or so. I can pick it up from kyle's (All I need is an excuse to go by there). I'll let ya know when I'm headed that way!
