I've thought about it for years, now I finally going to do it. Shelton Vineyards in Dobson is having a harvest festival Oct. 13 & 14. I've got a booth to sell some of the projects I've made over the past couple years. If I can recoup the cost of materials I'll be happy.

If you are in the area please come by. It is also the same weekend as the Autumn Leaves Festival in Mt. Airy about 15 miles away. Check out http://www.sheltonvineyards.com.

I set up my tent today to see how to display my stuff. I've posted some pictures. I hope this stuff sells so I can build more stuff because we all need more stuff.

Rick, GOOD LUCK!!!! I have had booths at other festivals. It is a good experince. Just go with the flow and keep your expectations low. You never know how these things will go. One time you sell nothing and the next time you sell out the booth.

Just have fun......

I wish you the best of luck. You never can tell with craft fairs. Sometimes it can be slow and other times you get close to selling everything! Your stuff looks great, I bet you'll do fine. :icon_thum

Rick, I've seen your work and you should do very well. And if for some reason you don't, it's because all the folks that came out forgot their eyes for beauty and craftmanship...try to not hold it against them :-D

jeff...

I have a customer who makes his living doing exactly what your going to do. He says him and his wife live like gypsy's but they both love it. He opened the back of is long bed camper toped pickup and showed me some really cool stuff he and his wife made, including scroll saw spiral pot holders and grocery bag handles. I sold him a bunch of hackberry, which he prefers over anything else, go figure...

Best of luck to you :icon_thum
