We are on the road again - unexpectantly

The doctor put me out of work for another full week and then part time for two. I will have zero time off when my mom and sister come east. John and I were sitting there and said - hmmm - why don't we go now? That was Sat. a.m. and we headed out. Got a late start and I can't ride really long so it's a 3 day trip out instead of two. We'll be back the end of the week.

Mom has no idea we are coming. The flood waters and problems from the hurricane in the gulf mainly hit there this morning so we should be able to actually get there. Apparently I-40 west of OKC was closed for 6 hours today. We will be south of OKC.

I may get on an may not during the week. Thanks for holding down the fort.

Well, we are back. We totally surprised mom - it was great! We took a little longer to get there and missed the storms. Good thing because they got about 7" of rain in as many hours. Had a couple of days and then decided to go to Ohio to check on my father's and grandmother's graves. That extra jaunt added around 500 miles. I rode in the backseat and kept my leg up. We didn't walk to much and kept icing my knee. I get to go back to work tomorrow = only 4 hours - but I'll take what I can get!
