Wash Those AC Coils - Save Money and Make Your AC LastLonger

Seldom do we think about our AC till if fails, or doesn't keep up. Most systems are designed for a max temp of 95 degrees, but lately that been the starting point for afternoon heat. You can help you unit run better by simply washing the outside coils. Think about how many tons of air pass thru them, bring along with it pollen, dust and trash, which stick to the coils A word of warning, don't wash with a power washer, as the water pressure will bend the fins over. There are several YouTubes showing how to clean the coils. You can biuy cans of spray coil cleaner for inside coils, just be sure to get one that is self rinsing.

And be sure the condensate drain is flowing freely.
Have a new spare condensate pump near by if your system uses one.
