Recently, I purchased a turbo nozzle for my pressure washer.. Before today, I had only used it to wash wife's car. Today used it to wash out garbage can. Instead of the usual blow back, most of the water was contained to the can. Did a fantastic job and very quick.. Tried it on landscape timbers by driveway, with same results.

Yea, turbo nozzles definitely boost your pressure washer's effectiveness, but there's a warning that goes with them. They tend to blow out if your pressure washer is more than ~ 2600#. High pressure turbo nozzles may be available, but they are not the ones you see in stores. Also, they tighten down the spray pattern to a small circle, which makes some jobs (like cleaning a deck) take longer.

There are higher pressure rated nozzles available. We use 5000 psi washers with rotary nozzles almost daily on steel and concrete structures. They are very aggressive.
The tip that rotates is ceramic and doesn’t handle abuse well. If working overhead it is recommended to trigger the gun lower and raise it while triggered. This prevents the tip from slamming forward when triggered with nozzle raised. We have replaced several tips when the new crew members don’t follow instructions.

The nozzle I bought is for up to 4000#, 4 GPM flow,
