Starrett Universal Protractor

I have a chance to buy an old Starrett Universal Protractor at an upcoming estate sale. It looks like it would be good for setting the angle of a table saw blade, but never having used one, I don't know.

Has anyone had any experience using a universal protractor to set the bevel on a table saw blade? It is kind of bulky, but I know that the accuracy will be there if it will work.

Thanks for any feedback. I would hate to buy it and then find that it won't do the job

It is a fine tool to be sure, but I agree with Mike. It is a little bulky and a pain to use. I have a nice American made one (not Starrett) and I don't use it much. I do LOVE my Wixey gauge!! I own several Starrett tools and they are the best there is.
