Split a post?

The Fall Gathering in Asheville post is getting kinda long. Yes I have contributed to that. Maybe we should close it and open couple new ones (attending sign-up, car pooling, what can I bring?, etc). Just a thought.

Sounds like a good idea to manage a thread that is too big. I'd suggest that each begins with the same thing so members can follow / find what they want. For example: Asheville Fall Gathering - carpool; Asheville Fall Gathering - what can I bring; Asheville Fall Gathering - show and tell.

IIRC a wood run is woven into that thread. That should definitely be separated from event thread.

Steve -- you took the words out of my mouth ... he'll need our help, but it is his call -- I just hope he knows what he's gotten himself into! BTW, I drove into the site yesterday and it is right along the shore of the French Broad River and looks very adequate for a large group.
