Don't know the extent of your damage, or your coverage, but contacting your insurance co might be something to consider.

I had a pipe bust im my shop last year. Nothing like walking outside on a Sunday morning and seeing water cascading down your garage door. About 300 sq ft of insulation had to be replaced in walls and ceiling, sheet rock replaced, and of course the plumbing repaired. (busted behind a knee wall and that had to be torn out too. I turned it in on my homeowners. I had to pay the deductible, but they picked up the rest of the repair bill. All contents were covered too with the exception of car parts. Wanna guess what got damaged? Yep, about $6000 worth of race car parts.:gar-Cr Most were repairable but it was still a hefty bill. Since got rid of all that stuff and keep an eye on the temps.

It was my own fault. It would have been a no brainer to prevent it, the upstairs where it busted is heated, but goes weeks without use. I only turn the heat on when it's being used (and now during cold snaps). Or for that matter, I could have turned the water off out there and drained the pipes in a couple of minutes.

I be has deez here stoopid fits purdy offen dough.
