rusted screw threads, head is stripped

thought I'd follow up with a mission complete report here. I added a dowel to where the threaded insert came out, added a new insert, cleaned up the threads the fasteners and the table stands on it's own now. thanks for the help.

Get some stainless steel hardware, you can’t trust any galvanized or plated steel nowadays.

The problem with drilling it out is it may be a hardened screw.

Its possible but my bet is its Chinesium material. Drill it!
