I just heard that the Lowe's stores local to CLT are offering ready mix concrete through a regional company. Concrete can be ordered and then paid for through the Lowe's store and delivered by the supplier. Anybody else hear about this? Is it being offered in other areas? Sounds like a win/win situation if the pricing is right. Most ready mix companies don't want to fool with DIYers although some cater specifically to them at an increased price.
One caveat to anyone ordering ready mix: Be sure you know the nomenclature of the product. Specifications like slump, psi strength, air entrainment, admixtures for acceleration/retarding can all affect what you need and get as well as its suitability for specific applications.
