Does anybody know how I can receive private messages on my blackberry. Or better yet can the pm system be programmed to send all pms to my email account. I like to respond to pms quickly but all I get on my blackberry is that someone sent one and I am rarely near a computer to respond. Thanks, phil

Open user settings in the top left of the brown nav-bar then Open user control panel on the left side of the screen and then go to private messages, then your inbox or outbox. I used mine like that all the time before getting an Iphone.

I just tried this and it is either my total lack of knowledge on how to navigate within the ncww website or it is my old 7100 phone. I would upgrade to a newer blackberry or an Iphone but this is the only one with direct connect nextel which I must have as a contractor.

Does NCWW look the same on your phone as it does on the computer screen, speaking of style, color, etc.

Phil you can't do it like an email unless it's changed. Have to log in to the NCWW site, open your PM and respond that way. PIA I know but some very smart folks set this up and they were tired of getting emailed respones to notices that X had responded to Y thread when letters bigger than the Golden Gate Bridge say "Do Not Respond to this Message". I'm using Opera Mini and it works well with AT&T and a Blackberry Bold.

Phil, you should be able to use the Curve 8350, which has direct connect on it for use with Sprint/Nextel services. My current 'berry is a quantum leap beyond my old 8310, but I think you will experience a similar jump in performance and capability from the 7100.

On my 8900, North Carolina Woodworker looks the same, and I can get PM's on it, too. Being functionally a 2.5G phone, the page loads well, but from a BB perspective, there may be a bit too much going on to make it the easiest thing to do when relying on wireless. Things are totally different when I am in a WiFi area, tho. WooHoo.!

This reply is coming from my blackberry with opera mini and I was also able to read my pm. Thanks for all the help. Now I have something productive to do while setting at my construction sites watching the drywallers. This week I am going to get the new curve 8350 - I did not know yet were finally released.
This is a but slow but is still amazing to someone who grew up with party lines and pay phones::gar-Bi

As mentioned .... Opera Mini is the key. It will keep the pages rendered correctly, and you can get to the PM's.

Tip: Once you get into you Inbox, go ahead and bookmark it as a favorite on your phone.

I've got the 8350 Phil...it's much better. I'd recommend the upgrade, and it does have direct connect.

I don't use Opera Mini much with the new 'berry OS, the browser is much better than it once was, good enough in fact, that I haven't yet loaded OM, or Bolt or other alternatives on the new phone. Guess this led me to forget about those options.

Something else to consider with ANY 'berry, is checking out Crackberry.com . Lots of great info on there to maximize your 'berry experience
