Now that you've reached that milepost, why don't you find something useful to do.

In response to your [post=293220]Post[/post] (as quoted above) in the [thread=29427]6000![/thread] thread: I have put your post in moderation -- our policy doesn't allow a personal attack on any individual -- cskipper has produced some amazing work and has made major contributions to the website. Your post was a pretty cheap shot.

I just took a look from the Home page and Bob's post appears to be still there in normal mode... I tried to unapprove it too... I must be doing something wrong

In the Moderation Control Panel, under Moderate Posts, this post is listed.

I think in this case the post remains active until action (validate/delete/ignore) is taken in the control panel?

Not sure what I did wrong. Normally, it's just select the post or the thread and 'unapprove' it. And what should be done next to remediate the situation?

OK... just looked one more time... when i open the thread, the offending post is highlighted in (pale) yellow... appears to be moderated.

Magic? Or did one of you guys do something?

That little guy in the lower right corner denotes a moderated post.

Also, I checked with my testid, I cannot see that post.

I think we all can see it due to our elevated powers.

I think what Scott has done is a good practice. When in doubt look to see what the poster has done in the past. Admittedly Bob here has a minimal number of posts. However, he has not developed a reputation that we can give him the benefit of the doubt on. Having said that I do not beleive that anyone should be given such a benefit when it comes to making hurtful remarks. Even if his intent was to be funny, many people will not read it in a humous way.

Bottom line: If you cannot keep it freindly keep it somewhere else.

BTW, I have not heard back from Bob the Mainer since I sent him the PM. He was on the site about two hours after I sent it, so I suspect he got the message. He has not been on since then, so maybe we won't see him for awhile. I agree he should be watched.
