I went to change strings and set up my bass this evening and noticed the neck was bent forward ever so slightly. I loosened the truss rod and it did not spring back :tinysmile_cry_t:
I guess after 22 years of being strung up even maple gets tired. I'm trying to straighten the neck by bending it the other way. Then I'll put my bass back together and tighten the truss rod to straighten it back out. I plan on leaving the clamp on for a few days, hopefully it'll work... If not I'll have to order a new neck for the old girl.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated, this is my first time attempting to fix a bent neck.
Thanks
