Woodworking Machinery $260.00 USD (2 Bids) Closes: 4d19h(Jul 09, 2024 06:46 AM EDT)
Bid Increment $10.00 USD
Location: Hudson, North Carolina, USA

Group of woodworking machinery that was abused in woodworking classes in one of the high schools in the school district. Scroll Saw, (2) Lathes, Metal Cutting Band Saw and Miter Saw. Working condition, age, specifications of the machinery is unknown. The only thing known is that the bearings on the Dewalt miter saw are burned out. This would be used for parts only. Also, the green lathe was working last time it was in use - which was quite some time ago. All the other machines have not been in use for quite some time and there is no knowledge of the working condition.

The scroll saw appears to be missing a foot (upper blade guide), but the mag starter and motor look nice. The green lathe could be nice if it had a VFD. The metal cutting is likely to be nice if one had a need for it. The chop saw is a major pain to replace the bearings. Been there. The gray lathe isn't much and likely broken. Those lathes had issues. If it were closer, I'd consider the scroll saw. Got the parts for those. That's my favorite model scroll saw for my uses. Intricate detail isn't its strong suit.

I scored one of those metal cutting band saws several years ago and had new legs made for it to raise teh bed up waist high or more. It has served me well. One can use it VERTICALLY by making a 'table' out of a bit of flat steel stock - there are holes to fasten such a table to - might have been a 'factory' option.

If you ever need to cut a 1" steel bar, some bar stock or angle - the set it and forget it switch comes in handy - esp for multi-taskers. Best fifty dollars I've spent in a long time.
