That is a beautiful hotel, hope you are enjoying the trip. Have not traveled to that country yet, hope to have that on our schedule in 2009.
Planning on another trip to Bermuda, I really enjoyed that country, small but alot of fun.
Rememberyour sun screen.

Sunscreen? if only. If there is a down side to coming for work it's that so far I have seen the inside of the factory and the inside of the hotel. Although at night I have sat outside with a cool beer listening to the Atlantic just a few feet away. whine, winge...

Being as how this is a woodworking site, be sure and get some pictures of the tools in the hotel shop. Oh yeah, hotel home page didn't show your face. You know the rules- No pictures, it didn't happen.

Hey, that's nice looking equipment in the fitness club. Is that where you're spending free time

I LOVE Puerto Rico!
Old San Juan, El Yunque (sp?), Luquillo Beach, and Ponce are my favorite spots :icon_thum

Very nice David! You'll have to let me know how you like the hotel. I have a business meeting/trip scheduled for March and my boss says that Puerto Rico is within our budget. Maybe I can make a strong case to go there with your feedback :eusa_danc

Enjoy yourself and don't drink too many Mohitos:icon_thum

Hi Joe, The hotel is nice, currently undergoing some restoration so can be a bit noisey, but they say all will be done by 25th Jan 2008 so you should be ok. It's in a good part of town for restaurents etc and is a 20 min taxi from the airport. Old San Juan is very close too. Rates are currently $199, but the company I am working at has negotiated rates down to $149 which is good for this level of hotel; you may be able to do the same. The casino side of it is small so not too overpowering. Generally a good place to stay. There are some good places to eat within walking distance; if you end up coming here let me know and I'll give you the details.

Another benefit is that no passport is required so that makes entering the country easier as there is no immigration to go through, it's just like making an internal US flight. Currency is US $$ so no currency exchange to worry about either. Direct flight from Charlotte - $277.00 round trip.

Hope you manage to persuade them....
