Construction of the piece had been moving along by using one of the three 5' x 9'-3" panels laid flat as a table. It was not large enough to ensure a near perfect top to bottom fit of the pieces, so I cleared out my office and with a friend built a two panel platform (10' x 9'-3") stable enough to walk/kneel on for setting parts in the middle. Starting from the right, the piece was built up on sub-panels until the platform was covered. The rightmost subpanels were glued up then removed. Note the parts at the seams between subpanels are left unglued until final install. The left subpanels were slid over to the right to make room for the next parts. The very left parts were not glued onto their subpanels to allow for adjustment of the next set of parts - sort of like a "wet edge" in painting. The subpanels won't have to be slid again.
"Boy Dry Fit" shows the parts slid over and the remaining subpanels in place. The boy is not sculpted or poly'ed.
Learning a lot on this project. Thanks for looking --
