While waiting for a client this afternoon, trying hard not to succumb to heat stroke, I think I came very close, I decided to take some cell phone pics for your perusal.

This is a table that the client wanted to have walnut crossbanding around the perimeter and on the ends of the leafs.

While not perfect, It turned out acceptable for the client and after he finishes it, they will really pop. That is curly walnut veneer. Cutting the veneer to wrap around the curved ends is a task in itself. Glad it is done.

More pics, different thread.

Beautiful work.:icon_thum As the heat goes up my patience goes down so I cannot imagine doing that curved veneer work while sweating.

Michael,

Nice job on the table. How on earth did you go around those curved corners?

A lot of cutting and fitting. No one piece is very big, had to do it that way to try and maintain the grain flow. Not something I treasure doing on a steamy day though.
