Greetings from Mocksville. Lived and worked here for over 30 years all the while building furniture and turnings for family and friends. My recent interests are inlay and marquetry to enhance furniture pieces and create pictures of landscapes, portraits and just about anything else that inspires. Looking forward to sharing and learning from all of you.

Welcome Dave. I have done some inlay with a scroll saw. I also do intarsia which is like 3D marquetry.

Thanks! Attached are a few recent marquetry projects and and my version of the Entryway Mirror from the June 2024 edition (No. 310) of Fine Woodworking. I used 1/8" thick mirror instead of 1/4" as suggested by the author. It was less expensive with no discernable distortion. A project requiring a larger mirror my need 1/4". Made with cherry and an interesting piece of rosewood veneer I was given by a neighbor friend. The portrait is of my son-in-law and two grandbabies.
