Hard to say much about Craig's tools until you get your hands on one.
I've had a few minutes with the easy rougher and the easy finisher. Both exceeded expectations, even after all the reviews I've read on them.
I don't have either. Yet. But as soon as I get the $ they are ear marked!

I got mi Ci0 a few weeks ago. It really is amazing. I was always catching when I was hollowing a bowl with gouges. The Ci0 made it so easy to hollow its amazing. Obviously I'd like to learn to use a gouge better but I'm just using the lathe for fun quick projects. After using it I've decided against getting a Ci1 or 2 because the Ci0 can pretty much do everything I need.

Re: Got my CI0! Ok I give - What's a CI0?

I gather a CI0 is some sort of hollowing tool. As a very new turner that has mastered exactly no lathe tools, I am definitely interested in finding out more about any highly regarded hollowing tool that works. Please tell me more about this.
Any links available?

Henery,
I have used both and I tell you there is a world of difference between these tools and the Ci0.

If you try one youll be hooked for sure. I am elling you best tool money Ive spent to date.

Thanks Mark

Re: deal: free tip for CI0!

That's one I can answer, because I followed the link (posted previously in this thread) to another NCWW thread on the Ci0 a few week ago. The way i read it, the deal holds through June.

I neglected to copy who posted this.

Ok guys, I heard back from the Donna at easywoodtools.com. She says...

"Okay, I think what might be easiest is to offer 1 free cutter with each tool purchase from your group UNTIL JUNE 30.

They can take advantage of this offer in one of two ways:

1. You take up a group order. I am attaching order forms to this email and if I can ship them all to one address, I can offer free shipping. If I have to mail them to each individual, shipping would be $9.00 flat rate each.
You can then contact me with the order information via phone (270-903-4270), fax (270-771-0955), or email (donna@easywoodtools.com). I can take Visa/MC on each individual or you can send me their checks or however it works best for you.

2. They order online at our website: There is a place for them to put information/instructions to us during checkout in PayPal. Have them put NCWOODWORKER in this area and I will put the free cutters in with their order. "

Yep.. the deal is good through end of June. Hurry, hurry!

I have both the Sorby and the Ci0. The Sorby is ok for small jobs and some hollow form work, but it takes patience and care in keeping it properly set on the tool rest. The Ci0 is a dream. Beefy, smooth, and it eats up wood like an army of termites :wink_smil. You have to use the technique outlined by Craig in his video, but that's pretty easy to emulate.

Good luck!!!
