Dragon has been formally placed on probation for a month, ending 4/20/2010. Should he post anything during that time that violates site policy, he will immediately be suspended for a period of two weeks. Hopefully, this will curb the more volatile posts we've seen lately.

If you see a post by Dragon you think is over the line, please put the post in moderation and PM Tracy and me. Thanks for all your help.

It was a lifetime achievement award. But, the recent spike of borderline posts (cell phones, SawStop etc.) provided the extra incentive for the nomination.

Hate to see this happen, but with a bit of luck, the very few wise guys will get the message... so we can get back to being the friendliest place on the net.

It was bound to happen sooner or later. This involved quite a bit of behind the scenes work on the part of the staff and the BOD. It unfortunately was necessary.

It looks like the message has gotten across. Let's hope it sticks, but I think this is positive development. I sent him a thank-you in reply.

He was at the get together yesterday @ Chris & Kyle's & seemed very cordial. The only problem we had was his ring-tone is a siren & everybody kept running for the woods when it went off....:gar-La;
