Dogs at the 2011 picnic - FORMAL ANNOUNCEMENT

We did a follow-up with the Town of Cary. Their rules are binding on all. Per the Director of Cary Parks, Danny Hopkins:

Dogs are allowed in Cary parks on a leash.
Pets (except service animals) are NOT allowed in play areas or UNDER shelters.
An owner can be issued a ticket for any animal breaking the law OR being a public nuisance.

Scott, thanks for taking the time to research this. I'm glad you found this out, rather than some guy in a blue uniform coming by and handing out tickets:gar-Cr. I'm sorry some got upset with me and posting about leaving dogs at home. As a side note, we have always (at least it seems always) owned dogs. Right now we have a 14 year old Lab / Shepard mix, and a Brindle Pit Bull.
