Dewalt DW 733

Don't know if it is a good deal or not but I saw a dewalt dw733 planer at a pawn shop in Salisbury today for $279.00 I have bought a lot of stuff from them and they can be talked down some. It looked to be in great shape. PM me for more info on the pawn shop. They also have tons of ww power tools, saws etc. Hand held that is.

That's a solid planer. Nice finish and the blades can be sharpened, which means you buy three sets and they last you forever. If you throw a back bevel on the blades they will handle figured wood nicely.

I've had my DW733 ever since they introduced them and it has run flawlessly -- because it has blades that can be resharpened several times and new ones are still pretty cheap ($43 at Lowe's), it is a good unit. Depending on condition, it is worth at lease $200, but I think $279 is a bit high. Somebody go haggle!
