Corporate Membership Issue - Another one

MikeH asked why he wasn't listed as a corporate member. So I checked his settings against the Promotion Policy just in case it had been changed or I mis-remember it or was using the code as my memory of the policy (easy to do if you are a programmer.)

Anyway, I had forgotten about the telephone number requirement for Corporate Members. The code has the hooks for it but hasn't been enabled. It will take about 15 mins to enable that. There are people who are currently listed as Corporate Members but don't have their tel numbers in their information. I just checked and there are 11 members in that situation. ie. if I enable the check as it should be according to the policy, then they will immediately lose their Member status.

Direction please.

If you know the 11, send their user ID's to me and I will pm them. Staying in policy is the way we need to go.

I concur with Tracy's request -- we'd like them to make the changes, but a PM would give them the option of yes or no to providing the information.

Also I really think Someone should make point of telling everyone to read the promotions policy and telling then we are sticking by it. Frankly, I think the BOD should review the whole policy and re-issue it with any changes you think wise and also put Tracy's or Rob's signature on it

We have already discussed the need for a BoD meeting after the first of the year and this issue will be included on the agenda. In the interim, I'll start a new thread to get folks to read both the Promotioon Policy and the Privacy Policy so they will have a better idea of their options.

I'll pm all of them tonight. I think we should wait until I get at least 75% of them reply before flipping the switch. Thoughts........

One of the requirements of being a corporate member is that you have your phone number listed in your profile, which cannot be seen by anyone but a limited number of staff members. All of you that are getting this pm do not have your phone number properly listed in your user profile. We are getting ready to turn that feature on, it should have been on all along and probably got lost in one of the vbulletin updates. If you wish to remain a corporate member please enter your phone number in your user profile. Please reply to this pm and let me know when your changes have been made. Once 75% of you have corrected the info I will contact the staff to re-enable the requirement. If you do not enter your phone number, once the switch is flipped you will no longer qualify for corporate member status.

Thanks for understanding and being proactive in entering this information.

At the time I made the changes, there were 2 people left who hadn't make the changes: kooshball & BobN ( not to be confused with Bob N) :gar-La;
After the changes, they are no longer shown as Corporate Members.:thumbs_up

They had questions as to the benefits of corporate membership, so I doubt they will remain corporate members.

I just looked at my settings and I had a dash in the 7 digit field :eusa_doh::roll: :eusa_doh:that caused the last number of my phone number to not be there. I've corrected it now.
