Advice on Curved Transition?

As part of my ongoing kitchen renovation (one reason for my absence form the board for the last few months), I want to fabricate a curved wooden threshold for the hardwood to carpet transition between the nkitchen and the living room. My problem is that this transition incorporates an "S" curve and no commercial products I have found will fit this need.

I know, we should have thought of this BEFORE cutting this beautiful, graceful detail but hindsight being what it is, I'm looking for suggestions on how to 1) cut the curve and 2) attach the curved section to a straight section on either end. I'm thinking doweling or pocket screws but other ideas are welcome.

Thanks all!

Got pics? Dimensions?

I'd think build up enough square pieces to cut the arc out with a band saw or high quality jig saw.

I agree with Phillip, pics would be helpful to see what you are dealing with.

How dramatic is the curve? Cut the profile on the bandsaw. If the curve isnt too great, you can probably use one board. Then jig up the router table with a track for the curve to pull through. If you need to join several boards, I would consider scarf joints or finger joints.
