A good start to the weekend. Finished the router table and added an air filter.

So my whole tablesaw/router workstation has been on perma-hold it seems. I finally decided it was time to route out the channels for the miter and t-track and finish the router side anyway. Now I just need to put a fence together and tie in the dust collection for top and bottom and that half of the table will be done. Eventually I'll get the other side of the tablesaw installed. The extension is laminated and done, but I've been too busy elsewhere to worry about pulling the aluminum wing off and installing it.

Oh yeah, and in the first picture you can sort of see the box for the Rapid-Air master system waiting to be setup. That will be a treat to finally have air drops where I want them.

Then a quick trip to WoodCraft to pick up one of the air filtration systems they have on sale. I just couldn't pass up the price on the Rikon so it followed me home and found a home on hooks already in my ceiling. I've noticed an improvement in just the short time it's been out there.

Also picked up a cyclone 30-gallon can lid and next up is to finally put some permanent duct work in place for the dust collection. I'm tired of coming in from the shop and blowing sawdust out of my head for the next 3 days. Decided it's time to make the shop healthy. Plus it's the end of the year and I'm squeezing in the last of the business write-off's.

Not a bad way to kick off the weekend.

Looking great! That table looks terrific. I know what you mean about projects taking forever, I've been working on a new router table on and off for about 2 months now, still not even close to being done.

The RapidAir stuff is pretty nice. I suggest you try and roll out the hose a few days before you start installation, and give it a chance to unwind. It's not easy to get it to install straight otherwise (not that it really needs to, but it looks nice....)

Well, the great start petered out by Saturday night. I finished plumbing the PVC for the dust collector but then have been sick ever since. Oh well, there's always next weekend.
