This unit is still up for grabs if anyone needs or wants AC in their shop. Yes I know winter is coming but for someone wishing they had AC in their shop this unit is worth getting now and storing till summer if it's not something you want to install at the present time.

This is the same unit that Mark Gottesman offered to anyone for free a year or two back and I would prefer someone needing or wanting AC on this forum to end up with it since he was generous enough to offer it, just trying to pay it forward.

I am about 5 minutes off I-40 exit 168 westbound for those of you going to the Klingspor Extravaganza this weekend.

Any takers, if so I can be contacted at 336 seven eight two 6201 cell Or 336 four nine two 2650. There's a answering machine on the land line. If its still here after this weekend its goes to the local habitat store.

Re: 24,00 btu ac

I REALLY need one for my shop and it's small so this unit would probably be perfect.

Re: 24,00 btu ac

Mike,

This is a two ton unit (24,000 BTU) and I used it to cool a high ceiling (12 -15 ft ceiling) 800 square foot area in an uninsulated metal building..

It worked fine for that. I had it rigged to roll and fit it into a piece of plywood so I could roll it under the garage door and block the rest of the opening. Could not cut through the wall in that rental.

Wow... nice. What kind of power does it need? I have full access to the underside of my shop so I could run ducts. I just have to figure out how to get it. :)

What is the brand? Is it portable?

If this doesn't work out for Mike I would love to have it. However I am in the Raleigh area. If it falls through for Mike I will figure out transportation. Thanks for the generous offer!

Re: 24,00 btu ac

If interested first caller to make arrangements to come get this unit gets it I tried to convey that message when I posted this in the classified section. I don't have time to sit in front of the computer and exchange messages all day.

Mark corrected me on the size of this unit 24,000 btu not 2400, also it takes a dedicated 220 circuit. It is actually a window unit but could be mounted in the wall permanently if you so choose.

I'm not trying to offend anyone but I don't get payed to sit in front of a computer and not being a typist or keyboardist these messages take time on my part and when you're self-employed time is money to put it bluntly.

I picked up my "new" to me 24,000 btu AC unit today. :icon_thum It was great meeting you Wayne. I'll be putting the AC to good use next summer and if and when I upgrade I'll be paying it forward with the unit.

( I'll apologize now because I forgot :eusa_doh:to take a pic today before I left, but Wayne can attest to it happening. )

THANK YOU WAYNE!

I'm just glad someone on here could use it.

Enjoyed the little visit. Maybe next time we can be more hospitable. Things are kind of hectic right now with me trying to make room in the shop for the coming of winter. Don't have enough vehicles sitting around.
