    Which plane or plane setup is best to trim tails and pins on through dovetails?

    I finished the top box for my dovetailed bookcase out of rswo and now need to trim the excess tail and pin material. Which plane is going to give me the best results on the end grain of this hard lumber? I have a jack plane, a fore plane and a low angle block plane at my disposal... Thanks
