Lurker, finally decided to register...

Like the title says, I've been lurking for a while, and figured I'd register. I've been turning wood and stone for a little over a year in a small 13 X 13 lathe room I set up at the end of 2008. This is a great site with quite a few resources. Hopefully I'll be able to expand my woodworking...

Decided to try intarsia

The dolphins must be the popular intarsia starter project. Thanks to Fred for helping me saw down some thin stock :notworthy. This was the really thin stuff. 1/4" Bubinga and maple. It seems the real challenge with intarsia is the glue down and sizing the backing board.
