I got tired of dragging the shop vac around, and the hose had gotten stiff with age (doesn't everything?). To go from 5' to 12' in length is an advantage alone. The old vac's tools will slip over the end of the new hose, but may be a tad loose in fit to be usable. No worries, the crevice tool and wand are what I used most with the original tools.

I am glad that you said it was a 12' extention, 'cause it sure looks like only 2'  Where did you get it and how much? Will it couple with your original hose??
Dave:)

I'm glad too. I didn't see much advantage in 2 extra feet. :rolf: Congrats.

Dave, I got it from Woodcraft for $26.99. It needs a 2 1/2" ID to 2 2/1" ID coupler to connect to my old hose.

If I have any use for a 2' extension, it would be to make me 7' 6" tall.
