Source for small quantity of spar varnish

I’ve got a little project in the works that would benefit from some spar varnish. The smallest amount I’ve seen for sale anywhere is a quart, and suppliers seem pretty proud of it based on the cost. A quart would last me 100 years, assuming that I could keep it from going bad in the can, and I hate to spend so much for the little that I need.

Has anyone encountered a source that sells smaller quantities?

not the answer you are looking for but - The Halcyon varnish from Total Boat comes in a bag. you can squeeze out the air before you tighten down the cap. It lasts a good long while. There may be others in similar packaging, that’s the one I’ve used.

At least it won’t go bad while you are waiting for the next chance to use it

Would spar urethane in a rattle can work?

Not for this, I’m afraid, but that’s something I’ll remember for future projects. I forget that the sprays exist!
