Over in Lowes in the HVAC fittings they now stock a 4X10X4" register boot. What that means is it has a 4"X10" opening (actually 4 1/8" X 10 1/8"), with a 4" round opening for heat duct. You don't need a 4X6 reducer to use with 4" DC piping. Four inch flex DC hose slips over inlet, a 4" PVC (schedule 20) fitting also slips over inlet, and wait it gets better. An aluminum 4" blast gate (Woodstock International) snuggly fits inside of 4" inlet. Instead of a commode floor flange for DC take offs from machines, I can visualise this in it's place. Really simplifies making a DC take off for my UNI saw. Costs about five bucks.
