Was at the following estate sale this morning in downtown Raleigh. They have a ShopSmith with most of the major attachments (band saw, table saw, jointer, lathe, etc.) in very good condition. Appears it was hardly ever used. Asking price today is $2200. The sale is going on today (8 - 2) and tomorrow (12 -2). It was still there as of 10 this morning. Posting here in case anyone in the area is interested.

Not mine, etc.

At that same sale is this tool which I do not recognize. Anyone know?
ShopSmith was still there at 11:15.

I asked the guy at the sale about that tool. He thought it was for pulling and stretching metal banding around a package (e.g., around a cube of bricks). I've seen similar tools used to grip and pull the banding, but I'm not convinced (yet) that is the purpose of this one.

Typically, prices are half on the second day of the sale. Some fortunate person might be able to snag that ShopSmith for $1100.

Looks like an old style sheetmetal tool for setting grooves insets or hem locks

The triangular array of wheels made me think it was meant for cylindrical work pieces ( like maybe a hose ferrule?).
