Router Table Question

PC had a lot of recalls and issues with the 89x series I think.

I have a D handle 69x and a 7518 and love the both of them. I think that was part of the reason DaveO made the comment I didn't need another router.:oops:

I agree with going simple to start. My first router table setup was a homemade table that I clamp on to the side of a bench or top. I think I got it out of an old Woodsmith. IIRC, it cost me about $20 to make 10 years ago. Used it for about 4 years until I upgraded.

This is one of those things that has gotten out hand on the web.

thanks for clearing that up steve. i had heard there were recall issues but never looked to see what they were as i dont have an 89x series. thats almost no recall at all! any power tool can develope those problems under certain conditions.
