Remembering My Grandfather On The Day Of His Passing

First off, I hope this is ok to post here, if not, I understand if its removed.
My Grandfather was never a member here but, the woodworking skills he taught me has led me to this amazing group of people known as the NC Woodworkers.

My Grandfather, Donald Handy, graduated to his Heavenly Home.
He was my first (and to me greatest) teacher not only in woodworking, but also life.
11 years seems so long but, not a day goes by that I do not think of the man that taught me so much.
Pa-Paw would be amazed at the technologies that are now present in the humble workshop. From lasers to a CNC machine.
He taught me how to use a scroll saw and thus gave me the skills to not only build a name for myself, but also a brand and following that continues to grow day by day and for that, I could never thank him enough. I really do hope he is proud of what I have accomplished so far.
As most know, I started learning woodworking under his guidance when I was 14 and went at it until I was around 18 and then I backed off (to hang out with school friends and all) and when Pa-Paw passed in late 2012, it was early 2013 when I ventured back into the shop just to have a form of closure that I didn't get at the time he passed.
In early 2013 while I was getting the shop back in full working order, I never fully intended to get back into woodworking full time but, here we are at the end of 2023 and we are still going strong!
If it's ever quiet in the workshop when I'm working, I can sometimes still hear his voice saying "Now Son, I'm Not Telling You What To Do, But If It Was Me, I'd Do It This Way"
The memories of him I'll treasure forever and I am so thankful that he was my Grandfather.
I still drive your truck Pa-Paw, even if it does have a pirate flag flying in the bed now.
For everything you ever did for me and the family Pa-Paw, I just want to say, thank you for everything.
I just wanted to take a moment today to remember the man that taught me so much and to keep his memory alive in the lessons he taught me.
I Love You And Miss You Pa-Paw, May You Forever Rest In Peace.
