New, Old Plane

Ebay purchase, just delivered yesterday:eusa_dancpayed less for the plane than shipping! Now I just need to sharpen the blade and try it out. This is my first woodie, so I'll have to learn how to properly use it.

Looks like a smal coffin smoother. The blade looks plenty thick. What name is on the iron and chip breaker? Sounds like you got a great deal which means you SUCK!:eusa_danc

I think the blade is marked Robt Sorby. Blade and chipbreaker are in very good condition as is the plane. I haven't had much time to play with it because it was quite late when I got home last night. Since this is my forst wooden plane, I'll have to play with a while to get comfortable with adjusting it. Hope to have a chance to give it a workout this weekend on some scrap.
