New Circular Saw

Been looking for a new circular saw. Got this PC Saw Boss from The Savannah Toolhouse. Ordered on Wed. at lunch and got it Friday afternoon. The one on the left is old faithful.

Nice gloat, any reason you went with the smaller blade dia. saw? I would definitely keep the old one around for outdoor projects that might involve 4 x 4s or 6 x 6s as that extra 1.25" will come in handy in cutting that material.

I have one very similar to the PC you got. I use it mostly for cutting plywood and 2 by lumber, and I have been very happy with it. It is light and easy to use. IIRC, the blade to fence distance is exactly 4" so it makes it easy to layout for saw guides.

I wanted a lighter saw that was right blade to use to break down sheet goods using a saw guide. I wavered back and forth between this saw and the Skil HD5510. I got this one for $125 to the door.
