Lasering stone

My future daughter in law wants to have table seating markers made from broken pieces of counter top. She would like table numbers etched on them - perhaps darken the etching with paint or stain.

I suspect this would take a laser with fairly significant power. Does anyone in the Raleigh area have a laser that can do this and the interest to take on a one off job? There is no rush, wedding is not until next summer.

Thanks.

What kind of stone?
Here is an engrave on Slate- SlateCoaster.jpg

I have 3 different CO2 lasers (45w to 100w).

Our expectation is to get some drop offs/pieces from a countertop supplier. I imagine it would be granite.

Different stone is going to "laser" differently. Make sure you get enough to run a practice test with. Some it may do nothing at all.

Might I suggest - https://www.amazon.com/Pieces-Coast...8d-ad9f-6982dc3c24e6&pd_rd_i=B0BT91CD78&psc=1

You can put the number on the bottom and more personal message on top. That way every person could get a reminder of the wedding.

I appreciate your consideration.
I guess the kids decided to use acrylic stick on wording to get color options.
Thanks for your response however.

If they want color .... Laser will only provide black/gray.
But, it will cut the acrylic stick on material to any shape they want.
