Well the plan I would use is to take the darker wood and apply a liquid like water or MS. Then take the lighter drawer and put a light coat of dye not stain on the face of the drawer and hold them side by side to compare them. adjust with further dye applications. If it is too dark on the dyed drawer take a wet cloth and wipe the dye off. Time and experimentation Dave.
Awesome work ! I use Mahogany for a lot of things. Normally I just lacquer seal it it makes it look the it is just wet. It will have a darker nature but then the color is stable. For fun - Take apiece of scrap and use baking soda dissolved in water and chemical reaction stain it, kinda fun.
