Hi all. I'm retired Navy and retired fully two years ago when we sold our home in Georgia and moved to North Carolina. Since then, we've been building our "forever" home and my wood shop equipment and I miss each other very much. In about two more months, I should have a home with a stand alone workshop.
I've been around carpentry all my life as my dad was a carpenter. I've been a woodworker for about 15 years when I choked on how much my wife paid for a very beautiful china cabinet and I swore that if she'd spent that money on buying me shop equipment, I could have made it (the cabinet) just as well. She called my bluff.. It's been 15 years since and I'm still humbled by the craftsmanship in that cabinet.
